FANTASTIC FEATHERED FLYERS
The Birds of Kentucky is the latest series of animal trading cards produced by Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives’ Environmental Education program. The trading card set includes 30 different bird cards representing a wide variety of Kentucky’s birds. On the back of each card, kids will find species’ descriptions, habitat/occurrence in KY, common habits and fun facts.
From Ruby-throated Hummingbirds to Canada Geese; these cards featuring our feathered friends will be soaring into the hands of kids as part of the “Birds of Kentucky” environmental education programs. These programs are offered to 4th-12th grade classes by Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives. The “Birds of Kentucky” program and cards have been designed to raise awareness for native species of Kentucky birds.
