Coming soon to the Salato Wildlife Education Center will be a turtle exhibit sponsored by Kentucky's Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives. EKPC Biologist is working with officials at the Center to build a turtle exhibit for more than 40,000 people who visit each year. Look for Kentucky's Touchstone Energy Turtles to debut in 2002.

The Center is located at the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Game Farm on U.S. 60 west of Frankfort. It has bald eagles, bison, turkey and deer. It has three aquariums filled with Kentucky fish species.

Plans call for construction of a wetland complex with exhibits featuring bobcats, black bears and river otters. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children.
