Touchstone
Energy Cooperatives continue to set the benchmark for electric industry
service. In a recent survey by the American Customer Satisfaction Index,
Touchstone Energy Cooperatives nailed a high score of 80 for customer
satisfaction. That’s eight points above the electric utility industry
average of 72.
It’s
a tradition that dates back to the 1930s, when nine out of 10 homes in
rural America were without electricity. Light came to these homes after
the Rural Electrification Administration helped fund cooperatives, and 99
percent of our country’s farms, homes and businesses have been
electrified.
Now,
more than 600 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives in 45 states are delivering
energy to approximately 17 million customers every day. The fact that we
are locally owned, responsive to our member-owners and committed to
providing quality service continues to pay off in customer satisfaction.
Touchstone
Energy Cooperatives are also at the forefront of humanitarian efforts to
foster rural electric power systems and encourage related economic
development overseas. Our mission has always been to provide people with a
better quality of life. It’s all about “The Power of Human
Connections.”
